Low Mid-Height Bunk Beds
Our most compact, lowest and best-value low mid-height bunk bed, designed for families where every centimetre matters.
This thoughtfully compact design gives two younger children their own proper bed while keeping the upper sleeping position lower and the overall footprint as small as possible. Its practical height makes changing sheets and helping with bedtime routines easier, while the lower bunk is a welcoming first “big bed” for toddlers moving on from a cot. It is ideal for apartments, townhouses, holiday accommodation and smaller bedrooms where floor space matters.
Built to order in Melbourne, this bed is available in Standard Single or King Single sizes, left- or right-hand configurations and your preferred colour combination. Its compact front ladder, and low everyday height make it a practical choice for young siblings sharing a room.
This model was created for rooms where a conventional bunk bed would take up too much valuable space. By integrating the ladder into the front of the bed using vertical panels, the overall footprint stays neatly contained.
It gives two children proper sleeping spaces while leaving as much floor area as possible for play, storage and everyday family life.
Many families need two younger children to share a bedroom before they are ready for a traditional full-height bunk bed. This design provides the fun of a bunk bed while keeping the upper sleeping position at a more practical everyday height.
The lower height makes it easier for parents to make the upper bed and help children at bedtime, while the lower mattress remains close to the floor. The upper mattress base is approximately 100 mm lower than our other low mid-height bunk bed models.
For particularly compact apartments and bedrooms, this model can be ordered with our optional Cot Mattress Modification. It is a special-order option that allows the lower bed to use a cot-size mattress, reducing the overall footprint even further.
This modification was developed in response to customers who needed a genuine bunk bed for younger children but had only a very small room to work with. Order it together with this bed when every centimetre counts.

This bed is one of three Low Mid-Height Bunk Beds designed specifically for younger children sharing a bedroom. All three provide low upper sleeping heights, lower beds close to the floor, Standard Single or King Single sizes, left- or right-hand versions and built-to-order flexibility.

Many customers needed a bunk bed for younger children but had very limited bedroom space. They wanted two proper beds without sacrificing the floor area that makes a small room practical for everyday life.
We developed this design around that brief: keep the footprint as small as possible, set the upper sleeping position approximately 100 mm lower than our other low mid-height models, and make the front ladder as narrow as possible. The result is a compact design with genuine everyday advantages for young children and their parents.
Customer feedback later led to the optional Cot Mattress Modification for families in particularly compact apartments. It is another example of how being able to design and manufacture locally lets us turn real family needs into practical furniture solutions.
